Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of DomeFab (the “Service”) and the geodesic dome plan sets it generates. By using the Service or buying a plan set, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the Service.

What DomeFab is, and isn't

DomeFab generates informational construction plans for geodesic domes: strut and hub schedules, cut lists, material estimates, drawings, and an informational structural screen. It is a design and estimation tool, not a professional engineering service.

The plans are not stamped or sealed by a licensed engineer and are not sufficient for permit submission. The structural screen is an informational check, not a structural analysis. Cost figures are indicative estimates, not quotes. You are responsible for complying with your local building codes, obtaining any required permits, engaging a licensed professional where the law requires one, and for the safety of anything you build. Do not use these plans as the sole basis for a habitable, occupied, or permitted structure.

Your license

When you buy a plan set, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use that plan, including its revisions for the same dome, to build domes for yourself or your clients, and to print and share the files with your own build crew. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the plan files or the Service's generated output as a product of your own.

Payment

Plan sets are a one-time charge (currently $29 USD per plan set, or bundle pricing as shown at checkout), processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details. Prices are shown before you pay. Taxes, if applicable, are handled at checkout.

Refunds

The full studio is free to preview before you buy. Plan sets are digital files delivered instantly; we refund genuine problems and handle change-of-mind requests case by case. See our Refund Policy.

No warranty

The Service and its output are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that estimates are accurate, that a design is suitable for your site, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DomeFab and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from construction based on the plans. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the plan set at issue.

Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Email [email protected].
